Do you have a background in education or experience in non-formal education projects? Are you available long term and want to use your skills to make a huge difference?
Lifting Hands International runs a community center for the residents of a camp in Serres, a small town about one hour away from Thessaloniki, offering educational, recreational activities and psycho-social support on five days a week.
We are looking for an education manager to start at the end of the year to lead our language programs. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your management skills and experience in an established non-governmental organization that provides services for Yazidi refugees and build your understanding of the refugee crisis. You will be able to greatly empower refugee families through providing access to education and language learning.
If you are organized and proactive with a strong teaching/TEFL/CELTA background, we would love to hear from you.
LHI can offer free shared housing at our volunteer apartment in the centre of Serres and a small monthly living stipend (starting from 180 USD per month for a minimum of 3 months commitment).
Please note that as a small NGO we are not able to offer assistance in visa application nor in travel expenses.
To apply please send your CV and a cover letter summarizing your experience, skills, availability and why you are interested in this role to firstname.lastname@example.org.
