I just created a little script that allows to attach a ticket printer to the queue system. The queue system is designed that first the card is scanned and the card holder gets a position in the queue, e.g. 235, and later the card is shown to get access. This system should reduce the chaos and the need for too many volunteers to keep the queue in order.
It is now possible to attach a local printer that creates the tickets with the numbers so the card holder nows when it is her/his turn. The queue with position can be shown on a screen in public and on phones via web.
Having a ticketing system might be a game changer for large queues with more than 250 people!
Ticket printers cost new about $200.
