Fundraising Volunteer (VOLUNTEER POSITION)

Campfire Innovation was forged with a simple vision: identifying and helping innovative aid project that effectively deliver dignified conditions to displaced people. Our mission is to identify small and smart models with a focus on dignified conditions, refugee empowerment and effective operations, and to support their growth. We are a support system which connects these organizations to each other helps them build their capacity.


Job Description:

The role of our Fundraising Volunteer is key to keeping the organisation moving forward! As a non-profit organisation, we rely on grants, private and company donations to keep us rolling, from our rent to our event costs.

You will be working closely with the Director to connect with donors and promote the work of the organisation. We are looking for someone with the ability to help us diversify our sources of donations and keep Campfire Innovation growing.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Director in follow-up communication with potential funders or partners
  • Preparing presentations on our work and future plan in cooperation with the Director
  • Researching & identifying potential funding opportunities

Job Requirements:

  • Previous fundraising experience and grant writing
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Critical and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and within a team
  • Ability to quickly put together written documentation & PowerPoint presentations.
  • Ability to react quickly to the ever-shifting needs of the refugee situation and of a startup team
  • Experience with the refugee crisis preferred but not mandatory if the volunteer is available to volunteer at the same time in another organisation in the field
  • Experience with Google Drive a must
  • Experience with Slack and Asana preferred
  • Currently located in Athens


Minimum part-time in Athens: minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week
