Help Refugees is a grassroots humanitarian organisation that works to provide aid and upholding dignity for refugees. Alongside being the largest distributor of aid among all grassroots organisations in Europe, members of the charity provide coordination services to groups in Northern Greece and also manage a warehouse near Thessaloniki. Help Refugees was initially formed in September 2015 in response to the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Calais. After just one month Help Refugees was the number one provider of aid to the unofficial refugee camps in Calais and Dunkirk. It is now the largest distributor of aid among all grassroots organisation in Europe, funding 65 projects including projects in 22 camps in Greece as well as camps and settlements in Paris,Turkey, Syria and Lebanon. In Greece, members of Help Refugees provide coordination services to a wide range of groups and projects across Northern Greece and also manage a warehouse and project space near Thessaloniki.
