GRACE is a small but growing charity based in Greenwich, south-east London. We collect donations of clothing, food and other essential supplies from the local community to sort, pack by item & re-distribute for refugees locally and abroad, particularly camps in Greece and France. We network with other established charities and regional groups to share information and work together. Reg. charity no: 1169544.

Greenwich Refugee Aid & Community Enterprise was set-up at the end of Oct 2015, in response to the call for help from people on the ground in areas where refugees continued to arrive. Through watching the growth of other regional volunteer groups, seeing the demand for donations continuing to grow and the apparent lack of representation in the South-East of England, GRACE was born, networking with and knowledge-sharing with similar volunteer groups.
We have a minimum waste policy with all our physical donations that are not suitable for refugees: from table-top sales to raise funds and upcoming community craft workshops to reuse and upcycle fabrics and wool.
Whilst none of your donations go to waste (we also link with local charities), please consider your donations carefully to ensure we can use our resources efficiently and effectively: We are all volunteers, and space and time is limited.
