foodKIND is a small grassroots humanitarian organization that gives food with kindness to refugees.
The foodKIND freeMARKET, located in Athens is stocked with basic dried goods, produce and essential non-food items such as diapers, feminine hygiene products, soap and toothpaste. Beneficiaries can come in and choose what they like based on a points system. We believe this is a powerful project that gives beneficiaries the dignity and freedom to choose what they need rather than a pre-packed bag of groceries that was selected for them. Our mission, vision and ethos is to provide food with kindness and compassion to those who need it most.
