Hi there,
We are proudly the largest distributer of non-food items in Epirus, NW Greece, and are always looking for volunteers!
We need people who can give at least 10 days of their time, can pay for their own flights and are happy to get stuck in. We can supply accommodation for a small contribution, orientation and hard work with some great people!
Most of our time is spent in the warehouse tirelessly sorting donations from our kind donors or at our free shop for refugees where we offer clothes and hygiene products. We don't go onto the camps but we do have the opportunity to interact with some great people.
We are also looking for people who might be unable to come out to Greece but would still like to support us from the UK. Our work wouldn't be possible without hard working and enthusiastic fundraisers. We can offer support from beginning to the end and have a great fundraising pack to get the ball rolling.
If these are of interest, then email us your CV, your Skype ID and other contact details and we can always discuss things in more detail. Also let us know why you'd like to join us, detailing any relevant experience and what dates you have in mind. We're currently only taking volunteers from September to October and cannot commit to starting dates after this point as the situation changes so regularly on the ground. If you're thinking about volunteering with us later than that, please do get in touch closer to the time.
Here at CalAid we do some great work and we do it responsibly: We safeguard all our volunteers before they work with people of concern and there is a strict photo policy. We do this to make sure that both our volunteers and the people we work with are safe and respected.
Any more questions, let us know. We'd love to hear from you.

I was only in Ioannina for 12 days, and wish I could have stayed longer. The CalAid team are so passionate, inspiring and welcoming that you become fully immersed in the projects from the get go. The work was fairly physically intense but watching the projects develop (the shop is now up and running!) was really rewarding. Already planning when I can come back in the autumn!
